Burberry
Virtual Fashion Experience
Ideation - Design Direction - 2D + 3D assets - User Interface - Motion Graphics
In a partnership with Burberry and Verizon to create an immersive fashion experience, I worked as the creative lead and helped develop the design direction and concept for this project. The idea was to create a new and immersive fashion experience through utilisation of Web3 technology. Users would begin the experience by grabbing a Burberry Lola Bag directly from a digital billboard by simply pointing their phone camera at it - this digital object would then give the user access to a suite of unique functionality, such as being able to place and interact with the bag in Augmented Reality (AR) and discover details about where it was made, the materials used, etc.
Users could also scan a QR code found on a physical Burberry coat which would give them a “Digital Twin” version, providing them with details on where the coat was made, how long it had been in production and providing access to a digital twin version which could be used as a Snapchat filter and in the metaverse.
This project was a resounding success and resulted in further collaborations with other fashion indsutry giants such as Adidas, Gucci and Lacoste.
